Do you remember these Christmas reusable shopping bags that I made recently?
Here they are holding gifts to my brother-in-law and his family. I tied some nice bows around them to keep them closed. I love that they are both the packaging and presents all in one. I'm sure that my sister-in-law will love them.
How pretty did they turn out to be in a collection of red and white! Lovely patterns and use of fabric.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea. The peppermint fabric is so cute.
ReplyDeleteYep, great minds!! :)
ReplyDeleteDo you have a specific pattern you use for your bags?
ReplyDeleteYes and no. I made up the pattern. My bags are a spin off of a friend's bags. I have 3 videos from my show that she was on where she showed how to make her bags. http://textiles4you.blogspot.com/2009/09/its-easy-being-green-episode-5-reusable.html
ReplyDeleteHere is my blog tutorial on how to make these bags: http://textiles4you.blogspot.com/2010/06/patriotic-shopping-bag.html
A fantastic idea. I like the fabric patterns you chose. I'l lahve to check out your tutorial--these could be made for any time of the year.
ReplyDeletePamela, so true. I currently have some flag bags and some fruit bags (for the summer). I love themed fabric and this is a great way to use that fabric.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThis is really interesting take on the concept.I never thought of it that way. I came across this site recently which I think it will be a great use of new ideas and information.
