It's New Year's Eve and I had some left over hat template print outs from my class the other day, a mess of foam stickers all over the place (every time they are put away, my son dumps them out all over the couch and floor), and a 3 year old bothering his big brother. So why not have him make some hats of his own?
Here are the two hats that he made, which equaled 30 to 45 minutes of some peace in the house.
I finished another circular scrubby last night.
And I began another one while watching a movie with my family.
I'm using Bernats yarn and size 8 needles, and again I am doubling the pattern for size.
I'm joining a sock-along over at plumslife.blogspot.com. Technically I made me first sock a year or two ago using acrylic yarn, and it was for a toddler. I made it so that I could turn it into a sackboy
Yes!! I'm so glad you're joining us for the sock challenge!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter saw your scrubbies while I was reading your pages. She loves them! She was very interested in knowing, "are they flat? are they fluffy?" Cute!
Hi Kristy!
ReplyDeleteIf I made one for Paige, I'm sure she'd just use it as a lovey! She loves little soft collectibles :-)
On socks: I think I may be a little farther behind than you. I knit for more than 2 hours last night and I'm only about 2.5 inches. ARGH! They are sooooo slow! It doesn't help that I knit English style. I'm so over the slowness that I'm teaching myself continental style. I think it's imperative to know a faster method of knitting when it comes to socks....at least for me, I'm too impatient.
go, go, go! Socks yes, it's the month of sock knitting. I started today but un-did it all because I messed up the very first row knitting on the pitch dark... Bit silly really, I didn't get that far maybe 3/4 of an inch :-P But tomorrow I will give it a go in earnest.
ReplyDeleteHappy sock knitting to you
