Tuesday's Tot Craft Time: Blue Santa

Not to long ago I let my 3 year old pick out 2 wooden Christmas ornaments at the store.  He picked 2 Santas.  I figured that they would be fun for him to color, and then they would either go on our tree or on a family member's tree.

Out of all the colors in the box, he chose blue to color them.  While taking this picture I asked him if he wanted to use any other colors on Santa.  My thinking was that he forgot that there were other colors there.  He said "love blue Santa."

"Love blue Santa."  I had forgotten that he loves the color blue.  Everything that he wants is blue or he wants it to be blue.  A blue Santa made perfect sense.  It also made me laugh, because it could be a blue Christmas.

However he did end up using some other colors on the second Santa.  I might go back over the lines with a black Sharpie so that Santa is clearer.  This really will be a special memory for our Christmas tree.

  1. Very sweet. I think going over the lines with a Sharpie would be perfect.
