Video Tutorial - Halloween Wreath

Here is a video tutorial on how to make a Halloween wreath using things around the house and recycled / upcycled materials.  I want to start recording my local access t.v. show from home, so this is my first real attempt at it.  I will be taping a few more small Halloween eco-craft segments to add to this video so that it will be 30 minutes long and t.v. ready.  This is the first time that I have done a voice over, and I also learned more about music editing while making this video.  It is 14.40 minutes long.  I hope that you enjoy it.

Music: The theme from The Munsters and The Addams Family, and "Low Clouds (2)" by James and Brian Eno.

- I took a wooden wreath frame and wrapped it with vhs tape.
- Then I drew fun faces on bottle caps with a Sharpie marker.
- I took some old fake flowers and spray painted them black.  I allowed them to dry outside for a few hours.  I know that spray paint is not environmental.  I never said that I was perfect ;)
- I then raided my Halloween supplies from last year: old/used webs with dry leaves stuck in them, a spider ring, a toy spider, and a suction cup spider from a broken decoration.
- Next glue a black plastic bottle ring to the back of the wreath and cover it with a little bit of vhs tape (see the video).
- Decorate the center of the frame with the web.  Use the hot glue gun to hold the web in place on the back of the wreath.
- Arrange your items on your wreath until you find an arrangement that you are happy with.
- Then glue those items in place.
- I then took a wadded up piece of vhs tape and put some hot glue on it.  Then I dabbed it all around the wreath, adding more glue to the wad every so often.  What this did was to make those hot glue stringy things attach and stretch over different parts of the wreath, thus creating more of a web effect.

When finished, I let it dry over night and then I hung it up outside.  That night there was a big storm, and the wreath held up great against the wind and rain.
