I wanted to show some basic steps on how to make a bottle cap pincushion.
Cut out a circle the same size as the bottle cap and a long strip the same size as the side of it.
Sew the two pieces together.
Cut out a 3" to 4" circle. With a running stitch, gather it and stuff it with fiber filling.
Then sew that to the base.
Thats all there is to it. Now time to embroider your pincushion.
I turned mine into a jack-o-lantern. The green stem is crochet with a size 3 hook.
You are not limited to bottle caps. You can use jar lids as well.
The circle for the top was cut at 9" around.
