Tuesday Tot Craft Time: Dress Me Up Scarecrow

This is an oldie but a goodie.  We did this one last year, but it was fun making a new one with friends.
We took one paper with the outline of a person on it and one paper with a hat, shirt, and overalls on it.  While I cut out the person, my son colored the clothes.
My son is really into using scissors when I let him, so he cut out the overalls.  Then he let me cut out the hat and the shirt.  Then he glued them all on his person.
Here is his scarecrow.
Here is his friend's scarecrow (yes she likes pink).

Fall Colors

I got an itch recently to make this hot pad in candy corn colors for Halloween.  I love the way it turned out.
I also made another chrysanthemum hot pad using the more neon yellow from the candy corn colors with the white cotton.  I'm thinking of making a Halloween set, much like the patriotic set that I made earlier this year.
We were at the park yesterday when I saw this tree in all of it's Autumn glory.
And I couldn't resist taking a picture of these rings on the playground.

Tuesday Tot Craft Time: Mosaic Fall Leaves

Here is the library craft that we did recently.  The leaves that they chose were local ones.
There were 3 different leaves that the kids could choose from.  My son choose 2 of them.
I cut up the construction paper strips for him.  Then we put glue (glue stick) all over the leaf drawings, and he placed the construction paper pieces where he wanted them.  When done, I drew the leaf lines over the construction paper and cut out the leaves for him.
They turned out really nice.  These will be the perfect addition to our Fall decorations.  It would be nice to make enough to put on an indoor wreath.
